Summer 2013

Announcing our new line of Canoe hair accessories! I've been slowly, oh so slowly, growing my hair out for the last few years from a pixie cut. Anyone who's ever done that can attest to the patience this requires. While dreaming of having Charlie's Angels long hair, I'd often envision the types of clips I'd be able to use. I could never find ones I liked, so I decided to make my own. The collection is modern and clean, using alligator clips and small barrettes that hold just the right amount of hair.

Check out the full collection right here. If you're interested in mixing/matching the clips, drop us a note and we can put together a custom order.

Canoe '12 Sneak Peek

Canoe necklace, shot by Jackie L. Young It's taking me a lot of will power to only show a few sneaks and behind-the-scenes on our Canoe Fall '12 look book shoot. I had the most talented team of friends come together for a beautiful day of hanging out and making magic. Jackie L. Young photographed the lovely Alice Willett, who was styled by Laura Uhlir with hair by Rémi Zehr Do. I'll be dropping some more images later this week, but sign up for our mailing list for the real good stuff (directly on the right bar of this site). We'll be launching the full look book and collection on this coming Monday! Can't wait to share all the new ideas I've been working on with you.

Pamela Love + Matthew Nelson

Pamela Love photo by Hannah Thomson Pamela Love is a jewelry designer with a very clear vision. I've always admired her work, but fell hard for her while watching the Fashion Fund series, documenting the selection process behind the 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. She recently married Matthew Nelson, an illustrator, in Montauk, NY this summer. Hannah Thomson's photos of the event appeared on and it looks like a charming party.

Totokaelo Totokaelo is one of my favorite stores I've never visited. Based in Seattle, they just opened a new beautiful space on Capitol Hill that looks like it stepped out of my dreams. Tall ceilings, warm wood, white walls, and full of smart and simple clothing, not to mention the giant display of Dieppa Restrepo, Acne, and Rachel Comey shoes.

Yes, yes, and yes.
